MYSTIC PEACH NORMAL

Raised on a musical diet of grunge, shoegaze and good old indie-rock, South Coast risers Mystic Peach can switch between lysergic psychedelia to a screaming wall of noise in a second. New offering 'Normal' is a prime example of this. Drifting through a solitary haze for the most part, 'Normal' calls into question the banality of a so-called 'normal' existence. Striking a chord with its poignant undercurrent of social isolation and a sense of feeling at odds with the world around you, the brooding cut grows gradually more desperate as vocalist Curtis Gale pleads "Just tell me what I know, does being normal feel this low?" In a bid to offer support to the inevitable mental health crisis as a result of COVID-19, the band will be donating any proceeds from the track to a local mental health charity Tonic Music for Mental Health.
